Pamplona, surrounded by city walls and guarded by towers, has many monuments, churches and museums that make up a rich and varied cultural heritage. The most important monuments in the city are the Cathedral of Pamplona (neoclassical) and the Citadel (also known as New Castle and made up of several buildings and gardens in which take place cultural activities). The most visited museums in the city are the Museum of Navarra, the Diocesan Museum, the Museum of Ethnography and the Museo "Sarasate".

Plaza de Castilla, located in the historical center of Pamplona, is the meeting place of the citizens and visitors. It is an ideal place for starting a journey through the historic center and also for enjoying the rich gastronomy in any of the terraces or restaurants.

In the outskirts of Pamplona are many places where you can make natural hiking and enjoy the nature. And for weekend excursions, we recommend to visit the cities of San Sebastian, Bilbao, Vitoria and Logroño. Ski enthusiasts will find a few kilometers far away from the city of Pamplona multitude of ski stations (Pyrenees).
